Digital Daana is an initiative by IndiaGlobal and Metta Social along with their associate partners to provide 10,000 digital kits to children from underserved households.
Now, Metta Social is keeping it open for NGO's registered with us to raise funds for their specific Campaign or Programme Needs.
The digital kit per household would contain:
A high-quality laptop (mentioning specifications of the laptop would be effective),
A laptop bag
A 4G dongle with 2 GB per day limit
An e-learning subscription
Digital Labs on wheels for remote areas
The total kit cost = INR 35,000 (USD 500)

Subscription to e-learning platform
Having laptops will allow the students to access online classes, take e-learning courses, and do their assignments anywhere, effortlessly. Many skills such as coding cannot be learned using smartphones and tablets.
We would be providing the digital kits to children enrolled in grade 8th to 12th from low-income households, residing in Urban and semi-urban areas and validated by the local NGO partner.
Primary financial criteria: Children from the families whose family's annual income is up to Rs. 3.5 Lakhs only.
We will be reching out to rural areas as well in the future.
An Al fraud management software will be installed in every laptop that will allow us to track and restrict usage. They will be automatically monitored using our geofencing application.
Geofencing is a location-based service that will be in-built in the laptops. It will provide us with information on the laptop's current location.
At Digital Daana, we value the trust and faith donors place in us while making a donation. To ensure that we live up to this trust, we have a set of norms that nonprofits have to fulfil to be profiled on our site. Every campaign undergoes a robust due diligence process that covers legal, compliance, financial, implementation and monitoring checks and only on fulfilling all the requirements are listed on the site. No, we don’t accept used devices as the digital kit would only contain new and unused laptops. We only accept monetary donations.

Your donation will be used for procuring digital kits for the children, building mobile Digital vans, providing internet access and curated learning resources for students.
Yes! We understand your desire for privacy and take it very seriously. During the online donation process, you may select to make your donation anonymously.
We leverage blockchain technology to provide you with real-time updates and complete transparency on all the donations we receive. This allows you to monitor and track the donations at every stage till the kits reach the beneficiaries. All donors would get access to a mobile app that will provide access to beneficiary details by location.
Blockchain is a database system that maintains and records data (like an accounting ledger) in a way that provides open and public access to all the data in real-time while mitigating concerns around security, privacy and control. Click here to know more about blockchain.
The NGO will upload the intervention report or a status report of fund utilisation, photographs of the intervention. This will give the donor an understanding of the funds utilised.

Each project will be updated as its status changes, and donors who contributed to that project will receive notifications at key milestones, including project completion. Our website would also display photos, written updates, and sometimes videos of the completed project, directly from the field.
Digital Daana is built on a public ledger that provides financial transaction information in real-time. Project results are tied into Digital Daana through a reporting mechanism that provides notification of project milestones and written updates from the charity's representatives in the field.
Yes, there will be a tax exemption under section 80G of the Income Tax Act. Tax exemption is valid only in India.

According to government regulations , it is mandatory to state the Unique Identification Number of the donor. The following may be used as “Unique identification number of the donor”:

For Indian citizens, We need Pancard details to send 80G receipt so that you can claim a tax exemption against your donation, the Government of India has stipulated the PAN has to be mentioned on the receipt.
